On Saturday, 28 September 2024, Skal Europe held its Annual General Assembly online, bringing together members from across the continent to reflect on the year’s achievements, share insights, and outline plans. The virtual gathering was a testament to Skal Europe’s commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation within the tourism industry, despite the challenges of a digital format. Led by Skal Europe President Franz Heffeter, the assembly featured key updates, discussions on sustainability, and the much-anticipated presentation of the Skal Europe Sustainability Awards and Special Awards, celebrating the outstanding contributions of members who have significantly impacted the global tourism community.
We want to dedicate this year’s Skal Europe Annual General Assembly to the memory of our dear friend and fellow board member, David Fontanella, who tragically passed away just two days after the event. His dedication and passion for Skal will always be remembered, and all of us will deeply miss him.
