Event in English language.
Collective redress, or representative action, is the subject of new EU legislation that must be transposed by member states before the end of 2022 and will be in force in mid-2023. Rather than make for a better regulatory framework, this could encourage speculative claims handling.
Given the high degree of consumer protection in travel and tourism, with established and effective methods of redress, this is undesirable and unnecessary.
This event is particularly relevant for professional advisers, business risk managers and anyone interested in influencing how domestic policymakers will implement the directive.
