Saturday, 18 October 2025, will be a night to remember as Skål International Club No. 626 – Prague celebrates its 30th anniversary with elegance, style, and Skål spirit.
Founded on October 18, 1995, Skål Prague was the first club established in a former communist country, thanks to the support of Skål Vienna and the presence of the then Skål President Mario Rehulka, Chairman of the Board of Vienna International Airport. Since then, the Prague Club has become a vibrant part of Skål International, uniting tourism professionals from all sectors and organizing monthly lunches, summer BBQs, and festive Christmas gatherings.
Now, three decades later, it’s time to celebrate this incredible journey.
Join us in the spectacular neo-baroque Boccaccio Ballroom of the Grand Hotel Bohemia for a glamorous anniversary evening in the heart of Prague.
This celebration is open to all Skålleagues and friends of Skål from across Europe and beyond — a perfect opportunity to reconnect, raise a glass, and honour our shared commitment to friendship and tourism.
Many know the story: Skål International began in Paris in 1934, inspired by a group of French travel professionals who, during a trip to Scandinavia, heard the word “Skål!” — a cheerful toast meaning Cheers! or Na zdraví!
Over time, that toast gave name to what is now a global network of over 12,300 members across more than 300 clubs in 83 countries.
Some say Skål is an acronym:
Is it folklore? Perhaps. But we won’t let facts ruin a good story — especially when it ends with a toast.
📌 Location: Prague, Czech Republic
📣 Let’s come together to celebrate the spirit of Skål, where it’s always about doing business among friends.
